Today, I was delighted to celebrate with students the best GCSE results that Aylesford school has ever achieved.
Over 50% of students achieved a pass in both English and Maths with 74% achieving at least a grade 4 in English and 60% achieving at least a grade 4 in Maths.
We are also celebrating an increased number of students who achieved top grades 7-9 in a number of subjects such as French, History, English, Maths and RE. Similarly, our vocational BTEC subjects did incredibly well with 100% pass rates and students achieving the top Distinction * grades in Business and Sport.
We are proud that 12 subjects have performed in line with or exceeded National percentages.
Our results are a true reflection of the dedication, commitment and hard work of our staff, our parents and most importantly our students.
Aylesford is one of the most improved schools in Kent and is on an incredible journey where academic achievement and development of good character and a love of education are at the heart of everything we do.
If you would like to come and see the great work and students at Aylesford School please contact me for a tour. Our Open Evening is on Tuesday 1st October from 5.30pm - 8pm
We are extremely proud of our achievements and of all of our students who have collected examination results this year and wish them every success in their future.
